Connect an Agent

Connect your AI tools to Traded card and market data using MCP. Use OAuth sign-in or a personal API key, depending on your client.

1. Add the Server

Add a remote MCP server with the URL https://api.traded.gg/mcp. If your agent takes a JSON config, use this shape:

MCP server URL config
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "traded": {
      "url": "https://api.traded.gg/mcp"
    }
  }
}

If your agent has a settings screen instead, paste the same URL there (for example, claude.ai: Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector). Field names differ between agents; the URL is always the same.

2. Connect & Authorize

The agent opens a traded.gg page saying Connect [agent] to Traded. Sign in if needed, review the permissions, then choose Connect.

Using a Command-Line Agent?

Use your agent's login command for the server. If the browser cannot reach the local callback, follow the client's headless authentication instructions, if supported.

3. Ask Your Agent

Ask your agent about cards, prices, sales, and listings. The connection renews itself: 15-minute access tokens refresh automatically, and you only sign in again after 30 days idle or one year.

Try Asking

  • What is the current PSA 10 price for Base Set Charizard?
  • Show me recent eBay sales for Charizard ex from 151.
  • Are there any listings at least 15% below market for Base Set Charizard?
  • What is the 30-day price change for 151 Charizard ex in raw near mint?

Available Tools

Explore cards, compare prices, and research the market from your agent.

Catalog
Search catalog records and marketplace cards.
Prices & Sales
Current prices, price history, completed sales, and grading populations.
Listings & Deals
Browse listings and find below-market offers.
Metrics & Movers
get_metrics returns rolling card metrics; market ranks market movers.
Research
Use index tools for named benchmarks and cross-card series, or research tools for ad-hoc cohort questions.
Tool Discovery & Updates
Tool List
MCP 0.6 and later lists 16 tools without a key or with a machine key. Personal keys and OAuth add two private-feedback tools. Tool discovery does not grant access to protected data.
Refresh Tools
Clients may cache tools. Refresh the tool list after a server update to pick up changes.
New Metrics
Discover available metrics with meta(topic=metrics). New metrics arrive as data, without a client update.
Invalid Parameters
Removed parameter names return invalid_input with the current replacement.

API Key Authentication

Agents without OAuth sign-in can use a personal API key instead. Create one at Developer Settings. Send the key as an Authorization: Bearer <key> header on every MCP request:

API key MCP client config
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "traded": {
      "url": "https://api.traded.gg/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer <key>"
      }
    }
  }
}

Prefer the Quick Start when you are writing code instead of talking to an agent.

Need access? Message @traded_gg on X with the email or wallet you use on Traded. Keep your API key private.

Coming Soon

Watchlists and portfolios are planned. There are no tools for them yet, and connecting with OAuth does not request access to your lists.
